Enedis power failure

Enedis, as the operator of the public electricity distribution network in France, plays a central role in supplying electricity to households and businesses. Its main responsibilities include ensuring the continuity and quality of electricity supply, in accordance with Article L.322-12 of the French Energy Code. Enedis is therefore bound by an obligation of result regarding the regularity and quality of electrical voltage.
The installations under its scope, such as meters, circuit breakers, and infrastructure located at the property boundary, are owned by Enedis. These installations are distinct from internal systems, which remain the responsibility of users. Any intervention on equipment owned by Enedis is fully managed by the company itself, independently. This includes connection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and any necessary work to ensure the proper functioning of the network. Enedis operates in compliance with applicable regulatory standards, such as NF C 14-100, to provide a reliable and secure service for all users.
